Food For Thought!

About Food For Thought:
MHA of Rockland will be presenting a virtual cook-a-thon fundraising event to bring awareness to the dire effect the Covid-19 pandemic has had on mental health. We have partnered with chefs from local restaurants who will be creating dishes from various cultures. Funds raised will support expanding mental health and substance use programs for the Rockland community. This exciting program will stream on our website and Facebook page on Sunday, November 15th at 6:00pm.

Why Food for Thought?   Healthy, nourishing food sustains us – physically and emotionally.  It invites us to the table and it brings us together.

CEO Message on Events at U.S. Capitol Building

We Will Emerge Stronger for Our Clients, Our Community, and Our Nation

Dear Friends of MHA of Rockland,

I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the national events that took place at the US Capitol Building on January 7, 2020. To watch such turmoil and terror unfold was heartbreaking and will certainly be triggering for many of us and the community members we serve.

While these events sadden us, they also deepen our resolve to have a voice in the work ahead to heal our nation. All of the challenges we are facing as a nation and in our own community make what we do at MHA all the more important. Our experience as agents of positive change and health and stability for community will play an important role toward healing our country. We provide a safe and welcoming space at MHA of Rockland where people find compassion and support as they seek to feel grounded again.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by these events, we are here for you. Connect with a Client and Family Advocate at 845-267-2172 x296.
