Residence Counselor, Bernstein

Program: Residential Services/Bernstein House

Full-time, benefits eligible, 40 hrs/wk

Sun. – Tues. 8am – 4pm

Weds., Thurs. 4pm – 12 midnight

Responsibilities:  Provide supervision and support to adults recovering from mental illness and residing in a community-based congregate setting. The Residence Counselor serves as a role model, providing a home-like atmosphere in which dignity and respect enhance each person’s existence. The Residence Counselor participates in service planning and on-going support for each resident.

Requirements:  High School graduate or equivalent with some college coursework or experience in Human Services.  Experience working with diverse populations recovering from mental illness preferred.  Good written and verbal communication skills.  Microsoft Office experience preferred.  Valid driver’s license and ability to drive program vehicles in a manner that provides safe transportation to program residents.
