Children’s Respite Worker

Part-time, 24 hrs/week

Weekend and evening hours as needed

 

Program:   Children & Family Services

Responsibilities:   Provides temporary care to youth with emotional and behavioral challenges while providing family members respite time. Individual with engage the child in recreational activities and opportunities to develop social skills either in the home or in the community. Additional responsibilities may include supportive counseling, determination of service needs, and linkage to services. Safety plans are to be developed with parents and children.  Case records are to be maintained.

Requirements:   Case management and experience working with children a plus. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills needed. Experience working with a diverse population preferred. Valid driver’s license required.
