HCBS Children’s Prevocational Services Worker

Per-Diem up to 5 hours/week, includes evening and weekend hours
Program:  Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Children & Family Services

Responsibilities:  The Prevocational Services Provider works with youth ages 14 or older to prepare her/him to engage in paid work, volunteer work, or career exploration. Prevocational services are geared toward facilitating success in the world of work. The service is directed toward teaching skills such as appropriate work habits, acceptable job behaviors and helping youth learn general job requirements. Specific duties include but are not limited to:  resume writing, interview techniques, role playing, completing job applications, exploring career options, facilitating appropriate work habits, and assisting youth to apply for financial aid and scholarship opportunities.

Requirements:   Associate’s degree with one year of human service experience or equivalent.
