Program: Satellite Services/CBHS Infrastructure
Responsibilities: Promote, explain and advocate for Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) to potential clients and community behavioral and medical health agencies and providers, offer support and assistance to HCBS referring agencies during the engagement and referral process, demonstrate an awareness of and commitment to recovery-oriented practices, utilize peer specialist skills in order to assist individuals in obtaining further supports for mental health treatment and HCBS services, and related duties as assigned.
Requirements: Must be a recipient of mental health services who personally navigated the mental health system. Completion of Peer Advocacy Training course preferred. Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Human Services, Social Work, or a related field such as Psychology or Counseling, preferred; -or- Associate degree with commensurate experience or equivalent required. Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) and ASL capabilities desirable. Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills needed. Valid driver’s license. Funded through 12/31/20 with continued funding anticipated.
