Vocational Counselor/School

Hours:  2-4pm Tuesday and Thursday
Program:   ACCES-VR

Responsibilities:  Contract-funded position to teach a “Work Readiness” class at a local high school according to preset curriculum; meet with students individually or in groups as necessary to provide specific guidance regarding work readiness classes; assist students in identifying and exploring vocational interests, skills and abilities; provide support and skill-building resources to students placed in summer internship positions; and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:  Experience working with youth in both group and individual settings. Experience working with diverse populations. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have a positive attitude and be able to perform multiple duties and responsibilities in a creative, team building manner. Ability to speak to groups, organize, direct and coordinate clinic services and resolve problems within the program. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.  Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to programs or other off-site facilities as required.
