Vocational Services Program

 

MHA of Rockland works with ACCES-VR (NY State’s Adult Career and Continuing Education Services- Vocational Rehabilitation) and helps individuals excel in the following areas:

Work Readiness:
To be a successful employee, it is necessary to have a wide range of employable skills. Vocational Services helps individuals in the area of work readiness. Individuals will work on developing skills in job searching, interviewing and maintaining employment.

Job Placement Services:

Vocational Services helps individuals in the areas of job seeking and job development. Services will include but will not be limited to resume preparation, interview preparation, job placement, job coaching and job retention.

Supported Employment Services:
Supported Employment benefits individuals who have struggled to maintain competitive employment due to various disabilities, by providing them with assistance such as job coaching and placement, specialized job training, assistance in interacting with employers, and individually personalized supervision.

Activities such as employment, education, volunteering and being a part of the community are an important aspect of recovery. At MHA, we feel strongly about helping individuals reach his or her full potential.

Eligibility Requirements:

In order to work with Vocational Services at MHA of Rockland, individuals must also be actively working with ACCES-VR.  For more information on the above services, please contact the staff below.
