Team Leader, (ACT) Assertive Community Treatment

Program:   Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) 

Responsibilities:   Provide direct care to members and clinical supervision to ACT staff. Dedicate approximately 50% of work time to the direct provision of clinical services to ACT members. Ensure services provided correspond to NYS OMH program model guidelines and ensure compliance with MHA QA/UR policies and procedures.  Serve as a liaison at Rockland County SPOA and represent MHA at other community and professional meetings as requested. Provide managerial and fiscal oversight of all services and billing. Participate in all staff recruitment and make recommendations regarding the hiring of new staff. Ensure that all ACT staff receive core competency trainings as per NY State OMH regulations and best practices. Assist in the preparation of reports and budgets required by regulatory agencies and MHA. Work collaboratively with County employees (OMH, County Attorney’s Office, AOT Coordinator) to ensure care coordination of ACT clients.

Requirements:    A master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling or a related field, OR licensure/registration as a registered nurse, nurse practitioner or doctor.  Four (4) years post-grad experience working with adults with severe mental illness, with some supervisory experience required.  Experience working with a diverse population preferred.  Experience working on a multi-disciplinary mobile team preferred. Must be available for 24/7 for telephone support of staff for occasional emergencies. Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills needed.  Valid driver’s license required.
