Responsibilities:   This is a direct treatment and group work position addressing the mental health needs of consumers recovering from a serious mental illness within the context of a PROS program. Responsiblities include but are not limited to  maintaining a caseload of clients; overseeing student interns which includes interviewing, supervision and coordinating with administration and applicable college representatives; serving as weekend back up for clinicians needing support around clients on alert list; serving as back up facilitator of daily team meeting in absence of Treatment Supervisor or Director; developing and documenting a person-centered and recovery oriented recovery planning with each client; providing individual and group recovery strategies and services; documenting direct and collateral services and interventions in a timely manner and within OMH documentation timeframes; maintaining current case records for each client; facilitating and leading recovery oriented classes; providing supportive collateral services as needed; providing clients with individual therapy sessions as required and occasional calls in evening and weekend; and attending/participating in meetings/trainings as assigned.

Requirements:  Master’s degree in mental health field, designated by the NYS Office of Mental Health, e.g. licensed mental health practitioner and 2 years of experience working with dually diagnosed clients. CASAC preferred.  Experience working with individuals with mental illness in group and individual settings. Experience coordinating Master’s level internships preferred. Experience working with diverse populations. Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills needed.
